Bay to Breakers

You’ve got to love this city.  People here will make any excuse to dress up and have fun. Lucky for us, Bay to Breakers–a seven mile race that cuts through the heart of the city, from the Embarcadero to The Great Highway–was today. I’ve never taken part, but I went to my friend’s garden party this afternoon, and since she lives a few blocks from Golden Gate Park, which I knew would certainly be overrun with race participants, I decided to ride my bike.  Here are a few pictures of what I saw:

And of course, there was the requisite naked guy (actually there were lots of naked people).  It’s actually legal to walk around naked in San Francisco as long as you spread out a towel before you sit down in a public space.

 

Like I said, you’ve got to love this city.
